Area of Work : Advanced Distribution and Load Control (WG-2 and WG-5)
Objectives: To identify and carryout solution oriented research, in line with the strategic objectives of the working groups on advanced distribution, and load control. The research work would study the technology impacts on existing infrastructure, review the applicable standards, review grid-code for operational performance, and design the functional specifications for new technical solutions. Collaborate with international standards organizations and coordinate with Indian experts to put them in the forefront of international standards formulation exercise; and also coordinate with Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) to formulate appropriate standards relevant to Indian context for accelerated deployment of smart grids in India.
Qualifications and Experience Required: Ph.D in engineering (preferably in electrical) OR M.Tech with 5 years experience in an electric utility environment OR B.Tech with 10 years of experience in power sector.
